Clan 69 - The 69ers	19.42 GMT 4th February 2000
The 69ers were set up on the 17th September 1999, after a few days discussion about it by a couple of my friends, Peperami and Red Devil, and myself. We formed this clan to play primarily for fun. In the beginning things were slow - we didn't get any new members for several weeks. Wisebuddha was next to join, the Pipedude, and so on until today, with our present complement of 5 players. It doesn't sound much, but we did lose a few players quite recently. Check out the Members section for more info on each player and so on. So I bet you're wondering where the 69 came from. San Francisco 69ers maybe? Nope. 69 during lo<cough> nope. It was simple - I did myself a Kingpin skin with Grav on the front and 69 on the back and we decided 69 was a fun number. And 69 was born, ahhh, ain't that sweet. That's it basically... we're primarily a UK based clan, we play Bagman mostly, and play pretty much exclusively on the weekend, although a couple of our newer players play more in the week (Sweden has cheaper phone rates). The most important thing is our reason for playing though. We play for fun. Nothing else. We're not a member of any league or ladder or anything like that. Occasionally we play friendly matches (although we always seem to play against really good clans and get a right pasting) but that doesn't happen very often.
