Retro Reverb Unit

I hope you find this interesting. It's my old Spring line reverb unit.

This is a retro piece of gear that I have had hanging around for quite a number of years. It's a solid state spring line reverb unit.

It runs on a PP3 9volt battery, its all transistor - there are no chips.

It's goodness knows how many years old and it is still in perfect working order. In fact I still use it with my Strat to pep up the sound.

It is quite nicely built and was made in Japan. The case is actually made out of wood, and the whole thing is built onto a metal chassis.

In this picture you can see how small the unit actually is. At the back of the unit you can see the insulated battery clip for the PP3 battery.

The left control is for volume, and the right control is for reverberation depth.

Here you can see a close up of the battery compartment where a PP3 battery is installed. An extra compartment has been provided to allow a spare battery to be carried with the unit.

Here you can see the spring line reverb.

The circuit board on the right carries the controls and the amplifier components.

The battery compartment is on the left.

Here, on the back of the unit, you can see the battery compartment screw to give access to the battery, and to the spare battery.
The input and output sockets are on the back of the unit. These are in the form of quarter inch jack sockets.
